Excel Tutorial – LARGE

The LARGE function in Microsoft Excel is a function that returns the nth largest value from a range of cells or values. This function is useful for finding the largest value in a range of cells, or for comparing multiple values to see which is the largest.

To use the LARGE function, follow these steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Excel and select the cell where you want the largest value to appear.
  2. Type the following formula into the cell: =LARGE(range, n)
  3. Replace “range” with the range of cells that you want to find the largest value in.
  4. Replace “n” with the position of the largest value that you want to find. For example, to find the largest value in A1:A10, you would type: =LARGE(A1:A10, 1). To find the second largest value, you would type: =LARGE(A1:A10, 2).
  5. Press Enter to see the result.

You can also use the LARGE function to find the largest value in a range of cells based on a specific criteria. To do this, you will need to use the LARGE function in combination with the IF function.

The LARGE function is a very useful tool for finding the largest value in a range of cells or values. You can use it to analyze data, compare values, and make informed decisions based on the largest value in a range.
